 **Update!  The Oneida County Dual Recovery Training Coalition has changed its name to the Professional Training Coalition of Oneida County! Visit the training page to learn more!  Our first training for 2012 will take place on:

Oneida County Prevention Council Job Openings 
The Oneida County Prevention Council (a program of Center for Family Life and Recovery) works to create changes in youth drug and alcohol use in the local environment through school programs teaching skills to help protect themselves,environmental prevention activities, and supporing the Recovery community.
The Prevention Council is seeking two Prevention Education Specialists (one part-time, 14-18 hours per week, and one full-time 35 hours per week) to deliver programming, complete reporting as needed, participate in community work groups, and provide education to the general community on drug/alcohol information including self-help meetings. Training and education provided.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent in social work, human services, or related field OR three years of experience in an above/related field; knowledge of alcoholism and addictions; ability to speak in public and to groups; good organizational skills; current and valid NYS driver’s license and transportation.
Pay Scale: Full-Time $23,500 - $25, 480; Part-Time $13-$15/hr

The Center for Family Life and Recovery Receives Grant
The Center For Family Life and Recovery has been awarded a grant in the amount of $88,584 from The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc.  These funds will be used to assist with the physical needs such as technology and marketing related to the merger of  Family Services of the Mohawk Valley and the Mohawk Valley Council on Alcoholism/Addictions to create The Center For Family Life and Recovery.
